Caterpillar (CAT) has been a steady stock performer over the past 30 years.  A $5,000 investment at the beginning of 1985 would be worth over $423,000 today.   Caterpillar has had an impressive run over the last couple years.  An investment in 2015 would have nearly doubled by the end of 2017 with all dividends being reinvested.  Caterpillar is another example of how an established company can steadily grow and post nice returns.
All calculations assume all dividends are reinvested to purchase additional shares. Taxes and commissions are not factored into calculations. Data is property of 1stock1 and written permission must be granted before redistributing any data (in part or in whole).
