Home Depot, Inc. (HD) has had an incredible 40 + years of existence.  If you would have purchased $5,000 worth of Home Depot the day of its initial public offering (IPO) on September 23, 1981 you would have accumulated well over 96 million dollars by the end of 2024 through dividends, stock splits, and price appreciation.   In fact, since Home Depot's IPO it has had 13 stock splits.  However, most of these stock splits came during Home Depot's (HD) early years.  The last stock split was at the end of 1999.  However, since that last split, Home Depot's stock has still produced varying levels of impressive investment gains through the end of 2024.
All calculations assume all dividends are reinvested to purchase additional shares. Taxes and commissions are not factored into calculations. Data is property of 1stock1 and written permission must be granted before redistributing any data (in part or in whole).
