Wrigley Company (WWY) is another example of an old established company producing very good returns.   $5,000 invested in Wrigley Company at the beginning of 1985 would have been worth over $480,000 after the cash buyout of Wrigley's stock.  On October 6, 2008, Mars, Inc. completed its buyout of Wrigley's for $80.00 per share cash.  Not too bad of a return for selling a few packs of chewing gum.
All calculations assume all dividends are reinvested to purchase additional shares. Taxes and commissions are not factored into calculations. Data is property of 1stock1 and written permission must be granted before redistributing any data (in part or in whole).
